The VCP/R ("Virtual Cassette Player/Recorder") is a tool for the capture and playback of video segments
from the WORMTUBE Archive. The User may record a video segment on a blank (virtual) cassette, which is
then added to the Library. The User may select up to two cassettes from the Library for simultaneous playback
in VCPs A and B.
NOTE: The VCR function is not compatible with SCAN mode in the Archive. To prevent recording errors,
SCAN mode is automatically disabled when cassette recording is started. SCAN mode may be re-enabled after
recording is finished (see SCAN documentation for details).
CONTROLS
VCR FUNCTIONS
NEW BLANK: Adds a new blank cassette to the library. New blanks will appear at the bottom of the library.
LABEL: Enter a custom label for the cassette (up to 7 characters).
REC: Starts/stops recording. Indicator will turn red while recording is in progress.
VCP FUNCTIONS
A/B MIXER: Select VCP A, VCP B or a composite of the two.
SEEK: Controls the rate and direction of video playback.
